Reviews and player tags

Read reviews

Player reviews on a store page sums up every review: how many there are, the share of players who enjoyed it, the average quality out of 5, and the share who would play it with friends. Each review shows whether the player enjoyed the game, the quality they gave, their play time once it passes an hour, and any reply from the developer.

Write a review

The review form appears on the store page once you can review the game, usually after you own it.

  1. Under Did you enjoy it?, choose Yes or No.
  2. Under Quality, separate from whether you enjoyed it, pick a score from 1 to 5.
  3. Tick I'd play it with friends if that fits.
  4. Optionally, write what stood out, up to 4000 characters.
  5. Click Post review.

To change it later, edit the form and click Update review. Delete removes it.

Developers can reply to reviews. A reply shows under your review as "Developer replied: ...".

Player tags

Players say lists tags that players agree describe the game.

You can suggest tags for a game you own after you have played it for an hour:

  1. Type a tag in Suggest a tag, for example short-runs. Tags are letters, digits and dashes, up to 32 characters.
  2. Click Suggest. The counter shows how many suggestions you have left.

Your tags appear under Your tags. Click a tag's × to take it back.

A tag shows on the store page once three players who played for an hour suggest it. The developer can hide a tag. Until you have played long enough, the page says how much play time you still need.
